Michael J. Mahoney has been a police officer since March of 1977 who held dual rank of Sergeant/Inspector in the San Francisco Police Department. He has been assigned to the Hit and Run/Environmental Crimes Division where he was the lead investigator for all traffic collision fatalities, as well as all incidents involving illegal hazardous materials/hazardous waste situations. He also was assigned to the Homicide Division where he was lead investigator for over four years in various homicide cases--including the homicide of a police officer in a fatal traffic collision. Michael is a court certified expert in traffic collision reconstruction and holds ACTAR certification #800. He has provided expert testimony in depositions, arbitrations, and criminal and civil jury trials for both plaintiff and defense..
