Traffic Collision Consultants Incorporated consists of two ACTAR certified traffic collision consultants who are also employed as full time members of the San Francisco Police Department. They hold rank in both supervisory and investigative positions.

In order to conduct the various types of analyses, TCC Inc. utilizes different traffic collision tools ranging from computer programs to crush deformation jigs to highly sophisticated vehicle crash system read-outs. Below are some of the tools used:

Computer Programs
Our experts utilize computer systems ranging from vehicle specification programs (such as Expert Autostats) to complete reconstruction systems (such as AR PRO and SLAM), which aid in producing results that can be produced/enhanced for visual aids.

DBD Crush Deformation Jig
Pictured above is the crush deformation jig in use. It is a tool used to measure the inward deformation of a motor vehicle for speed and force direction analysis.

Vetronix
TCC Inc. has the capability to download vehicle-specific crash information data that could be used to analyze and reconstruct collisions just like airplane crash investigators do when they retrieve the data from "black boxes." Our experts are specifically trained and certified in the Vetronix Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system. This retrieval system allows the expert to download pre-crash and post-crash data from the on-board diagnostic system already in place. Presently, the software and interface is limited to General Motors vehicles, but Vetronix is planning to expand this service to other manufacturers. This technology can be used to analyze the impact speed of a General Motors vehicle from 5 seconds before the impact right up to impact. The information gained consists of vehicle speed, braking status, delta-V and time analysis.
