It is with profound sadness that we report the passing of our President and CEO, as of September, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer.  He does live on in this company--proudly attaining the forever title of President-Emeritus. 

DANIEL J. MAHONEY

Interim PRESIDENT & CFO

Daniel J. Mahoney has been employed as a reconstruction consultant since 1993. He is a principal founder of Traffic Collision Consultants, Inc. In addition, Daniel Mahoney was a Law Enforcement officer for a major metropolitan police agency from 1982 ~ 2013 and held the ranks of Captain and Commander. He was tasked with the formation and implementation of the agency’s first Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) and was responsible for providing forensic reconstruction investigations for the Office of the District Attorney.     

Daniel Mahoney is an accredited, certified reconstructionist and holds current ACTAR certification #622. Daniel Mahoney has been certified as an expert witness in the nine Bay Area counties, as well as other counties throughout the State of California. In addition, he holds certification as a Technician, Analyst and Trainer/Mentor for the Bosch CDR, Tesla, Hyundai, and Kia data retrieval systems along with Technician certification for the Berla iVe Telematic/Infotainment data retrieval system. He is a board-certified Forensic Examiner who held Fellow status and was named to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Advisory Council.
